EGAN works for and on behalf of patients with disorders with a genetic or congenital nature. This includes both rare and common disorders. However, the innovations that EGAN wants to realise in European biomedical research and health care actaully are utmost relevant for all other serious disorders and urgent medical needs. And finally, themes like genetic and neonatal screening, pregnacy related information, care and prevention apply to all European citizens.
